Meet Dr. Keith Aibel
Dr. Keith Aibel graduated with honors from the University at Albany with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. After pursuing graduate study in molecular biology, he received his doctoral degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Aibel then practiced general dentistry and served as a clinical professor at the University of Pennsylvania before receiving a postdoctoral specialty Certificate in Endodontics from Temple University. During his residency, he was trained in all phases of non-surgical microscopic techniques as well as advanced microsurgical techniques. Additionally, he taught endodontics to dental students and conducted original research which was subsequently published in the Journal of Endodontics. Dr. Aibel is currently a clinical assistant professor at Temple University, Department of Graduate Endodontics.
His outstanding educational background, together with unrivaled attention to detail, enables Dr. Aibel to predictably treat even the most difficult cases and achieve optimal treatment success. He works together with his dedicated team who shares his passion and uncompromising standards. Their commitment to endodontic excellence extends from the simplest to the most complex cases, saving teeth that would have otherwise needed to be extracted.
Dr. Aibel has an interest in sports-related dental trauma and served as the N.Y. Giants’ endodontist during their training camps from 2008-2012. He has worked with NFL players on trauma prevention and has fabricated mouthguards for various players. He has also worked closely with the SUNY Albany athletic department and professional athletes from different sports.
Dr. Aibel has lectured on multiple endodontic topics and is currently involved in conducting original research. He is a member of the American Association of Endodontists (AAE), the International Association of Dental Traumatology (IADT), and the Academy for Sports Dentistry (ASD).
Outside of work, he loves spending time with his wife and three children. He enjoys scuba diving, metal detecting, and spending time outdoors.
